The hard drive bracket is made of ABS plastic and would not easily get out of shape. Sturdy and durable that allows for protecting your hard drive.

Bought one and compared to the numerous dell caddies I have and it is identical except color differs slightly and isn't brittle from age. The 1 star review claiming this is a scam probably tried to install it upside down. They only go in 1 way, the drive will be upside down when installed. Drives installed as they should and it slid right in to numerous models of optiplex computers without issue. Very happy with it.

Bought this to put an additional HDD into my Dell XPS 8950 Desktop. It fits perfectly, even though the description did not mention that it is compatible with the XPS.It's unfortunate that Dell doesn't carry parts like this for its own computer.You will need to purchase an angled SATA cable to connect the HDD, though. The regular straight SATA cable will not allow you to close the desktop's chassis cover. (I bought the left-angle one from startech.)
