After 10 days and close to 500 miles, this switch is working fine installed on an old 98 Jeep Cherokee 4.0l/automatic transmission. Another thermostatic switch (different brand) installed to run a three fan kit lasted... let's see... two days and 67 miles. The switch's machine work, materials and assembly appear to be good. Installation was straightforward since the previous switch used the same thread. From the OBDII live data stream the switch is triggering "On" between 188° and 191° and "Off" at about 167° - 171°. The ~3° variance from the advertised specifications appears to be connected to the ambient temp and the transmission load. For my application this is a non-issue, these operating temps are way better than Jeep's factory electric fan starting at 220°.Seems to be a good value. Little concerned about the variance with "On" / "Off" temps; again it is better than relying on the factory ECU programming.

After installing the temperature switch in my 5.7ltr. Chevy engine started the engine, the temperature guage pegged at the highest heat range of 280 degrees. So on the first try this product did not work as it should. Frustrating as it was not easy installing or removing the switch. Advise not to purchase as noted by others.
