I purchased the ARKON mount with optimism that the t-slot mount would be compatible with my UltraGauge OBDII information/scan unit and yes...this mount was the perfect solution for me! The ARKON mount has high quality 3M VHB tape included as well as the option for permanent mounting. Everything about this mount seems sturdy & durable so I am optimistic that it will serve my needs for the long run.

This is a great low profile mount. I use it with an onyx plus. To protect the fragile connectors between the radio and the dock, I taped the dock and radio together with an AMPS/ T-notch adapter on the back and transfer that assembly to one of the Arkon mounts I have in each vehicle. Repeated attaching/detaching the radio from the dock wears out the connecting pins in a matter of months for my use. The Arkon mounts were my solution. After a longer trial run moving the radio between vehicles, I'll remove the electrical tape and bond the dock and radio together with a few drops of epoxy for a cleaner look. One thing to note about this mount; it works better on a surface that is more vertical than horizontal due to the pivot limits of the ball joint. If you put this on top of your dash, the screen will be pointing at the roof. My freightliner has a large vertical flat panel on the console that works perfectly. The mount is short enough to eliminate and vibrations or bouncing that the long arm mounts can have. I have one in my HHR on the flat area at the top of the console, it works great there. I haven't figured out a location in my trailblazer yet. I may resort to a windshield mount as I'm not into drilling holes into dash panels that can cost hundreds of dollars. If you want to use a screw mount, the base has four holes for that. The adhesive pad works great providing the surface is very clean and fairly smooth. For a more textured surface there are 3m mounting tapes available that will work.

I bought this to replace a broken mount that holds my Wilson Cellular cellphone booster cradle to my dash. This fit perfect and came with all the screws needed! I would highly recommend to anyone needing a quality single T slot mount!

The mounting base works fine, the mounting holes line up, it is compact and is "right" for mounting satellite radio in the car. BUT BEWARE, the supplied 1/2" mounting screws, to mount the satellite radio base are too long. Using them will damage, if not destroy the mounting base for the radio receiver. The correct ones are no longer than 3/8" long. I wrecked two bases before I realized the screws were to blame.
