The compact plates have less rotational inertia than grip plates which works best with no-sleeve 1" bars. The 25 and 50 have more than the 10 due to the diameter.

One of them had an absolutely perfect finish and the other one had 2 runs in the paint that chipped off right away. One weighed 5 lb. 4oz. the other weighed 5 lb. 3 oz. Nice to see they didn’t skimp on the weight. Inside diameter is still 1 1/8th inch so they are loose fitting. Good buy.

I bought 4 of the 10 pound plates. You aren't going to find plates at a much better price than this outside of a garage sale, and I was happy with the quality. They are thinner with a larger diameter than many of the plates I've used in the past, which is a good thing because you can stack more plates on the bar.The only potential downside is that the gray finish might not match any black plates you already have since I think black is probably more common, but I don't mind that at all.

I was looking for some additional 5 pound plates for my home gyms and across these.at a really good price point. They arrived quickly and we're well packagedI realized that I had some of these exact plates already, so I was happy that they match my others (I get OCD using different kinds of plates on the same dumbbell. The gray coating seems durable. I've had my other Olympic and standard CAP plates for a while and they are still in great shape.I'm definitely happy with the plates, and having more lets me preload my weights before I lift.Overall, I'd say that these plates are good quality and the price was great $24 or so for a pack of 4).I highly recommend them for anyone building out their home gym. I'd also suggest plenty of 10, 2.5, and 1.25 pound plates if you're building up your plate inventory. This is a good place to start. I may actually get some more 2.5s from Cap.

Being a weight trainer in the past I have looked at this product through the eyes of the athlete. To me it is no nonsense, clean, easy to work with and maintain weight. I like the fact that it is essentially just a plain flat plate with few impressions made in the surface. That means a slim disc that fits well with its neighbours. Simple, and when you’re working out you need to be surrounded by simplicity so you can be in the psyche of a good athlete.All that being said, I actually bought this weight on sale as an anchor for a loudspeaker stand which is close to a traffic area. I am afraid of it being bumped and the speaker being damaged. The hole in the weight is just a hairsbreadth larger than the speaker stand’s centre post. Threaded overtop, that stand isn’t going anywhere. Unconventional use, but there you go. For now it looks okay and works a charm.But I still think the weight is a good buy for its intended purpose. Oh, and BTW, there is only one sticker and it is of the removable sort, so even being careful it shouldn’t take much more than 30 seconds to remove it.

so these plates have a coating on them like thin rubber which i was not really expecting as all my other plates are just black paint coated which i guess the good thing about the rubber coating is no rust or at least it would take longer compaired to non rubber coating all in all good value
