Alternator pulley started leaking oil on my 2013 Elantra GT. This tool removed the pulley for me so I could replace it. Beats buying a new alternator!

If you're buying this, you already know where and how this tool is to be used. At the end of the day it did the job, but there are a few caveats. My alternator pulley was seized so tightly onto the alternator shaft that I was beginning to round the corners of the splined (black) piece where the open-end 17mm wrench goes. While I initially thought it was nice to have the spline piece permanently housed on the T50 (silver) shaft (the silver shaft has a "ridge" that prevents the black piece from falling out), it means one can't slide a closed box wrench onto it. A few minutes with a grinding tool to get rid of the ridge and the splined bit came out. Box wrench time.Even with a closed box wrench (effectively tripling the contact area compared to an open-end wrench), so much torque was required that the T50 silver piece began to warp. Fortunately, it held together long enough for the pulley to unseize and break free. The job was a success, but now my tool is permanently slightly twisted. The 33 teeth on the black piece held up completely fine though.I'm honestly not sure if the tool would survive another beating (aka use), but since these pulleys only need to be replaced once every few years, one use may be enough.
