Vacuum bagging creates a more stable curing process delivering a more durable part. By creating a sealed vacuum after layup, you control the variables that weaken your part, like:
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Resin Saturation
PRO TIP: Too much resin makes your composite brittle. By removing excess resin with vac bagging, you create a lighter and stronger part. Lower resin-to-fabric ratio = Greater strength-to-weight ratio
VACUUM BAGGING 101

- Flashing tape secures the fittings, pleating and couplings to your lamination
