I have been using the Omron timer relays for years and must admit that in recent years they have become more and more complicated to wire up, especially with all the pulse modes they offer. The H3CR-A is a very simple version with two sets of contacts that can be wired for NO or NC or even double pole if you use both sets. Very simple control options of "Start", "Reset", and "Gate" which I think is like an E-Stop lock. The key question here is will this simple timer last as long as the Omron with over 50,000 cycles? Only time will tell, and the amperage load on the contacts will drastically effect longevity. The only downside is that these timers don't come with the screw connection base.

Did not work correctly. Will spend the money for a good one next time.

I needed a replacement time to run the relay in My powder coating oven. I wanted a more simple one than the programmable type. Turn the knob push the button, walk away...This Timer fits a standard timer / pid / controller hole, but does not come with the plug base for the back, or the plastic retainer to hold it into the panel. hopefully you already have one of those. The back of the unit has an 11 pin configuration, and you will need to look it up to figure out the wiring scheme, as it does give a little diagram, but that's it.I speak "schematic" so I could figure it out, but if you need a little hand holding, the pinout will match most other brands of 11 pin timer, and you should be able to find that online easily. For your convenience, I attached their little wiring diagram, as My unit came with the text on the side printed in the same color ink as the unit, so it's pretty much unreadable.I also drew up My own little diagram to show you how to set it up with a relay.Great timer, instructions are a bit weak, but anyone who needs one of these has probably wired one up before anyway, so I can't ding them any stars based on that, as electronic components are usually purchased by people who understand electronic components.I created My own little wiring diagram to explain the modes, and clarify the questions I was left with after reading their little one sheet manual.
