After placing on the couch and leaving the room I heard the Sofa Scram go off and my dog run to his bed. Scared him once and that was enough for him to never get on the sofa again. I usually don't have to turn it on anymore because once he sees me place it, he understands not to test it again. The sound is high pitched and works great. The battery life seems to be pretty good as well but like I said, I only turn it on half the time. Usually I'll leave it on all night but during the day when I'm around the house I'll turn it off. This is a great product and I highly recommend it for people with pets who are having trouble keeping them off the sofa or any surface!

Works perfect. I have two dogs that love to run and play and jump all over the couch. Got tired of trying to keep them off especially when they use it like a play structure or have muddy paws etc. Got a new couch and wanted to find a way to keep them off. Came across this sofa scram during my research and it had alot of good reviews. Idecided to give it a try. All I can say is rite on. It has kept my dogs off the couch . Totally satisfied. Had to purchase another one so they would cover the whole couch. NO MORE STRESSING off them messing up the couch. Like it says in the directions make sure when you first get it. to straighten and flatten it out really good with your hands to make sure there is no kinks in wires.Not a problem. I highly recommend .Good effective product.

Nice idea, but the sound did not scare my cats. They stood on the pad, right next to the bar, while investigating the sound. I returned the product.

I bought this to keep my dog off one of my couches. It works exactly as expected. The first time he jumped on it, it really freaked him out and he doesn't even try anymore. The only down side is that he can see if it's on the couch or not. If it's not there, he knows he can go ahead and jump on the couch and nothing will happen. Wish there were a way to hide it under the cushion or something so he wouldn't know what makes the noise.I thought I might use it to keep the cats off certain things too but they're too precise in where they step. They very easily just walk around it. I even put it on the counter and they just jump next to it or behind it. Definitely doesn't work for cats.

It’s worth the investment when training pets to stay off furniture or places they shouldn’t be.It worked the very first time and my dog hasn’t attempted to jump again.It’s a safe easy way to teach pets .

Love! This does the trick for keeping my dogs off the couch. I have a 25lb dog and a 45lb. They both do not like the sound. It’s a pretty loud high pitch sound. And most everywhere I press down, the sound goes off. Easy to turn on and off and toss to the side when not needing it.I haven’t tried taking them off the couch when we are away or at night, so not sure if I’ll be able to eventually stop using them. Will see as time passes, but no longer having to vacuum the hair off my couch is a huge relief!

I have six cats, and fighting the continuing battle of keeping them off the sofas. I have two sofas in my livingroom which is often covered with all sorts of stuff to keep them from peeing on it. I was tired of my room looking messy, it's been over a month now, and it's amazing how NONE of the cats have been on it. It's been set off maybe 3-4 times that I'm aware of, and they jump right off! No more washing blankets, under pads... I have my livingroom back! Cannot recommend it enough, and the size is perfect.

We used the Sofa Scram on a window seat to deter our dog (sheperd/doberman mix) from jumping up and barking at anyone passing by on the street or coming to the front door. I put it in place, turned it on and left my wagging, happy dog and went to work. I stopped by home at lunch to find a trembling, straight-tailed, very unhappy dog. He stayed in his bed, would not interact, barely ate, etc. for three days. I took him to the vet - all tests and blood results were normal. His issue was a very tender ear and ear canal. I tried the Sofa Scram and it REALLY hurt my ear drum as well. I caution all users - and if you do use it be prepared for a $400 vet bill......
