I got this pad to go under a 10' runner in my hallway. I have 2 crazy dogs who were always running & moving the rug. Then my senior beagle pee'd on it. (Unfortunately more than once) I got this one to go under the new replacement runner because it said it was waterproof. (The rug is washable) I am THRILLED with this pad! It is by far the best one I have ever used! It really holds the runner in place. It works even better than the carpet tape I've used in the past! Best part is it has a waterproof liner that is soft & noiseless. It is the perfect thickness. Highly recommend. Worth every penny! Definitely saving my hardwood floors.

We were pretty worried this pad would be so thick we would trip on Persian carpet, but we cut it about 1 1/2" recessed and it's a good smooth transition and functioning beautifully. We really got sick of those super skinny mesh pads either disintigrating under the carpet in zillions of tiny foam squares or getting so dusty that they refuse to stick and then fold and slide. Crazy-making.This pad has a really nice low profile and we are surprised at how well the grit on the felt side holds to the carpet, and of the impermeable bottom layer sticks like glue so far. And maybe the little cushion will help the carpets last longer too. And it's handy for when the dog pukes, and we have to break out the Spot Bot too!

I have elderly shih-tzu’s that have always been housebroken. After our move one decided he liked the rug as a pad. When ruined, we pulled it up and it had ruined our hardware floors. Nothing to do but but put another rug down. This time with a waterproof pad. The pad does add thickness to the rug. Non slip. Works well.

I really like this rug. The color is as it appears in picture. The one thing I didn’t think about is that you can not use a regular vacuum on it. It’s so lightweight that it sucked up to the vacuum and the the vacuum won’t move.I also didn’t realize that it would be folded. Because of that it has fold marks that we haven’t been able to get rid of.I wouldn’t buy again for that reason.

This was bigger than the carpet, but easy to trim. I bought for the waterproof properties on my hardwood under a wool rug. So far so good!

This is EXACTLY what I needed!!!I Purchased this to put under cheap new rug as a protective barrier for my hardwood floors because I have a 14yo golden retriever with arthritis that sometimes has trouble getting up quickly enough so occasionally has accidents. She just had the first one since I’ve been using this and it worked exactly as I intended. The rug was wet obviously (as you can see on underside of rug in photo), as was the fuzzy side of the mat was wet, but none at all went through to the floor underneath. I used spot cleaner to wash pad at same time as rug with pet carpet cleaner and sucked out all the liquid I could, then put something under rug to keep it up and allow air to circulate until both were dry. While hardwood floors are a big financial investment worth protecting (my main purpose for purchasing this pad), but I buy cheap $50 rugs just because of my dog so its not big deal to just throw out and replace every 6-12 months, and this pad also makes rug feel much thicker and soft to walk on like a higher quality one would. The pad is the exact same dimensions as my rug, so I did trim it to be and inch or so smaller on all sides so the rug extends just over the pad, but it is very easy to cut with regular household scissors.

This rug pad is such a disappointment because it's so hard. It offers no feeling of a cushioned pad, which is what I need. Additionally, I fear that the super abrasive felt pad would destroy my handwoven rug. However, it is durable and strong if that fits your need!
