Very straightforward with slight help from video. No help at all from included instructions in Chinese and pictures that don't look like anything recognizable having to do with this. The hardest part was fishing the wire up from the existing cargo light on panel in front of door opening up the right side to get to the LED light openings. Daisy-chain harness was easy to figure out attaching inline to the cargo area light to trigger the LED's in the door to activate in series. I attached the connector to the wires as soon as I opened the box as I didn't realize that they were shipped unconnected for a reason. You have to fish them through the right hand rubber bridging tube to get the wire from the cargo light in the cargo area to the door. To accomplish this I disconnected the rubber tube from both ends, attached a short wire to the connector and wire harness, electrical taped it up to make it smooth and coated with 3 in 1 oil (see picture). Pushed through the tube easily when you pull it out straight. Applied the oil to the outside of the ends of the rubber tube and they easily popped back into place. Then I worked for 30 minutes using a coat hanger wire to fish up the right side to the location of the LED panels. It can be done, but man it's tight trying to make that 90 degree bend. Once there, it was an easy time stringing the wires for the panels. While there, make sure to swap out the reverse light halogen bulbs for LED's also that are accessible through the panel opening. Really like the LED look on the hatch door. Hopefully lasts a long time. Looks original and probably should have been standard on these minivans. Very satisfied.

Install was easy enough and fit well and looked good. the product worked well the first 2 weeks stayed on and bright when opening and closing the lift gate. After 2 weeks one side wouldn't turn on when opening the lift and had to manually turn on which was too bad of a problem. Now after the return exchange window closed on me they both stopped working and won't turn on. I've tried to unplug and reconnect the product and no luck. This product is not worth the money because it'll eventually go in the trash.Keep OEM covers to reinstall.

Took about an hour to install with two people. Better instructions would be helpful. Looks original. Wish Toyota would have included something similar.

The install took some time but was straightforward after watching a few YouTube how-to videos. Once everything was wired and reassembled, I was very pleased with the added light in the rear cargo area. The light automatically turns on when the tailgate opens, making it a highly functional upgrade. I highly recommend it to all Sienna owners!

2025 Sienna PlatinumTake your time. You might want to get a trim removal set as to not mar the panels.I used a straightened coat hangers with a small hook bent on the leading end.I fed the coathanger from the center where the rear break light is mounted to the left ( as you face the rear of the vehicle).I attached a heavy string and pulled the wire out, pulling the string through.I attached the new wire harness to the end of the string on the left then pulled it to the center.Take your time... It does work!

Price is right and awesome kit when they work. After install one side needed a tap with the hand to light up. I was going to return it then, but after the work from install, I wanted to lie to myself and hope for the best. Now a few weeks later, the other side is doing the same thing. Return policy is for one month so nothing I can do other than order another set and hope for better luck as I don’t won’t to hassle with uninstalling the entire kit at this point. Cheap price for a cheap kit. Would love to pay more for a better product.

As a couple others mentioned, this does not fit the new Highlanders. Even though the title falsely says it does, the plugs are different sizes. 24, and 25 at least do not work, I am not sure on others. This just ends up being junk. I can tell you it needs 12V power to work so maybe someone can figure out how to splice into a wire that has it and where to run it from. Shame on the auction seller for selling a part that says it fits for certain vehicles IN THE TITLE, and its completely false.

The result is beyond expectations. So happy. I don't understand why this is not a factory option, it is a must for all Siennas. I own a 2024 LE from Canada, the installation has been pretty smooth once you understand how to get the wire through the rubber elbow. Then fishing from there up had been very easy. Do not use the instructions that is provided with the kit, absolutely useless. Just take your time, replay the video 4-5 times if needed.Overall it took me half an hour with the right tools.I have not removed the power from the battery to do the task; you're pretty just disconnecting the back center light and reconnect it through the connector... you're not impacting anything else. And no worries about draining power, it is wired to the same power source as back interior lights. Very satisfied, worth the price.
