This is designed for a 2" trash pump, but also works well with a garden hose if you use a 2" to GH (garden hose) reducing bushing, easily found on Amazon. The significantly larger surface area will save you from constantly having to unclog the screen on those tiny garden hose strainers.

Good for koi pond filter pump intake, no complaints there. However, 1 year and 1 month after being submerged, the body detached from the threaded metal socket. The few spot welds that held them together simply disintegrated, and the body showed some rust. I ordered a replacement since it functioned well as a screen, but expect to have to replace it again in another year.

looks okay and is serving the purpose I need it for. Like another reviewer stated, however, the threaded part is lightly tack welded to the screen with 3 small welds. I can see these welds breaking loose if it is tightened to tight.
