Amazing product! It is easy to work with and adjust if you make a mistake while fixing the book spine but also has great staying power. I was determined to fix our book spines and have a few air bubbles as possible and it was extremely easy with this product. Our son loves books and has a pretty impressive little library but a few books required some tlc. The Dino ABC book needed a ton of help. The front cover was completely detached and with this product its almost as good as new. Now that our toddler is a bit older we're teaching him to be more careful with books so hopefully we won't need such extensive repairs in the future. :-)I am particularly sentimental about the If Animals Kissed Goodnight book, it's the first book I ever read to our son the day he came home from the hospital and we read it every night for bedtime. He's 22-months old now so this book has been through a lot - teething, enthusiastic page turning, you name it! He has favorite parts in the book and sometimes he will bring it to me and turn to the pages he likes for me to read those parts to him. All this to say I was devastated when the spine began to fall off. As you can see in the pictures the book is no longer in such sad shape and we've avoided having the book fall apart on us. This product saved our favorite book!

I’m a preschool teacher and I work with toddlers all day. They have play areas and a massive collection of board books. I am very big on respecting books, so when one of our books rips I make a bit of a show of it saying, “Oh no, we must be careful. But I can fix it!†With this tape, yes, I can fix it. I use it now along the bindings of every board book that is in the classroom, as a precaution. It ensures a bit more durability, and it’s glossy transparency ensures that the book looks valued rather than prepared for the worst (but they do get the worst, and stand up well). The tape rarely peels off, but it can if an adult tries. I find this tape better than using say, packaging tape, which is thinner and often lower quality, plus not designed to repair books. I am not sure of the acidity or archival quality of this product, but for my purposes, those qualities are not yet a concern. I have not used this on “traditional†books (books with paper pages), but for keeping my classroom and the two year olds in love with books and reading, it’s on hand every day.

Bought this Scotch 3M book tape to repair a book which was torn by my little one. The tape was soft and thick but still clear enough to read. Compared to a regular tape, it was a lot easier to repair and looks better at the end. (See attached photos) Even though a little pricey than the regular one, it’s worth it! Highly recommend.

Can't opine on durability and coloring with time as I just bought this tape, but my initial experience was good. This is a medium wide (2'') book repair tape, crystal clear, gloss, kind of thick, easy to peel off the roll and cut, but with strong adhesion. I assume as it is a 3M/Scotch quality tape specifically designated as Book Tape it should not peel off or turn yellow with time. I recommend this tape for any book, poster or magazine page repair.

This tape was a great choice to save some of my books that I use a lot.The tape is durable and covered my Bible to preserve it under heavy use. Appearance doesn’t matter to me, so I used it to cover it. If I wear this out, I will just cover it again. Eventually, my Bible will outlive me and then one of my kids or grandkids can use it.

Ideal, strong tape for re-connecting old hardback book covers to spine and repairing tears on pages. Obviously not as good as a professional repair, but will prevent damage getting any worse.

Riaprendo dei libri di quando ero piccola ho scoperto come lo scotch normale con il tempo si secchi, staccandosi e lasciando un alone giallo sulla pagina. Cercando su internet, in molti consigliavano questo prodotto e devo confermare che mi sono trovata molto bene. Adesso lo uso per sistemare le pagine dei libri preferiti dei miei bimbi.E' leggermente più spesso dello scotch normale, quindi anche più resistente. L'ho usato anche come protezione dei bordi per i libri cartonati, con ottimi risultati.Visto il prezzo, personalmente lo uso solo per quei libri che hanno un valore sentimentale e che verranno usati ancora per molto tempo.
