I have the 50' version from a couple years ago but needed a longer 100' stretch. The other 50' one had been dragged around, pulled and through general use took a little bit of a beating but held up without any problems. Because of the quality and durability of the 50' snake I bought this 100' snake and it has the same quality and sturdy look and feel.

Comes packaged really well and 100 foot version worked like its suppose to to move the sound board back from the stage a bit. I use it for mobile worship nights for my church on a Presonus board. It's just what I needed for a lot of singers, instruments, and Monitors/Mains (overkill on monitor channels for my use but its fine) and still not have too much to carry around.

I bought this to eliminate the need to have endless XLR cables running across the stage.I keep it permanently hooked up to the PA system so I can't comment on how well it holds up if you want to move it around a lot, but for what I needed it's perfect. Obviously the product reflects the price, you can do much better, but you would also need to spend way more $$$, if you're on a budget and you want a good product for the price this is worth it!

The box of the snake is sturdy enough. The shielded run of the snake feels great as well. My issue is the pigtail fan out. The cables on the pigtail feel very chinsy and fragile. Id suggest taking very good care to not get the connector end in a bind, they probably can short easily. I've used this for 2 gigs now, and it's help up, but I've also felt like I need to treat it (just the pigtail) like its made of glass.UPDATE EDIT: 12 Festival deployments later, still going strong! The only fault that has happened is a retainer clip that locks the XLR into the input came out and a cable end got stuck in the input. Had to break the jack to get the cable out. It still works, but that channel needs a wrap of tape around whatever cable is going into it.

This is a great product. Good quality in the cables, and xlr connections! I also like the way the product is labeled on both ends!

This snake is an incredibly good value BUT, the only color coding is Black for 1-16 and Red for A-H. No problem. You'll probably do some quick-tie sorting for future useful-ness. Each XLR terminating cable end is marked with male 1-16 and female A-H but these marks cannot be seen except "up-close". I don't know to what the manufacturer is referring as "XLR Splitter" but it does the job I purchased it to do.

The only complaint that I have is with the plastic connector for holding the cable into the box. Could be a little "Beefier" and hold the cable a little tighter. I put some tape on the cable and it's good and tight now.
