At first I did not even remove these from the plastic, I just laid them on the couch. The dog was afraid of them, just like that. Then when our new sofa arrived I opened them up and put batteries in them. We sounded the alarm and the dog went running away. She is staying off the couch and I do not even have them tuned on. LOL This product works great! PS I bought the dog her own new pet bed. That has given her a very comfy alternative and we feel better about our new arrangement of not allowing her on our couch.

I have had these for tears to keep dogs off the furniture they WORK My husband laughed when I got them but sure loves them now

2 of the 6 don't work at all. New batteries and all. The ones that work are effective but paying for six and getting four in essence isn't worth it.
