Used it to resurface a workpiece and it did a great job.You need a dust boot and vacuum system, there is alot of dust.

I was trying to test the bit on my desktop cnc, to see how clean it cuts and I accidentally set the depth of cut to .4 of an inch instead of .04, needless to say it is a powerhouse bit that cut straight through without hesitation.

I'm using this bit on Maple and it really does cut through wood like butter. Have a lot of routing to do, so my only regret is that I didn't get a bit with the additional replacement blades

The finish on the wood is very smooth. It’s about the same as sanding with 120 grit.

Got the 1 inch size because I had smaller grooves to make in the bottom of a table for the base to reside in. Very sharp, no tear out and was able to use my palm router on my slab jig. I will be ordering a couple more SPE bits including a bigger bit like this and the huge flush trim bit!

Leaves small ridges on surface of wood. Not real bad just enough so you have sand more than I think is reasonable

I read the review CHECK THE SCREWS so I did just that. Sure enough, one side of the bottom inserts threads is badly machined. Maybe two threads at most and even they're not in very good shape. Shrapnel anyone? Maybe that's why it's now on sale for thirty bucks, trying to unload defective stock.

I use this with my Bosch Colt unit... Just take your time and this bit will provide a very good cut

Flattened a large slab (about a 3 x 5 foot piece of fir) with this, surprised it stayed so sharp and ran true. Also replaceable bits are available

This 1/4†shank, 1†diam bit is of same great quality as the ‘higher-end’ Amana or Whiteside bits. The carbide inserts are surprisingly sharp, and priced VERY competitively. I would recommend this for ANY hobby CNC users like me. I use this on my Onefinity Journeyman CNC.

I have used this surfacing bit on two projects so far, each about 9x9 inches. It worked perfectly. I would highly recommend it.
