Fit my car. Has a little note in the box saying. "The original design of this relay had 8 pins. The design was changed by the OE Manurgacture to have only 7 pins. This relay will operate exactly the same as the original design and it is full interchangeable." My car still doesn't start and I have since replaced the fuel filter with no luck. Now I'm thinking about changing the fuel pump.

7 pins, my original had 8 I have to deal with MFG for replacement or possible refund. Suppose to be a 409 replacement for 1J0906383C but it's missing a pin. I finally got my car back to change this and it won't work and I am out of the warranty period, but I could see if it was the right part. Its not.*Update: Amazon did refund this since it was defective. Appears from what I am told many others have this 7-8pin issue, I got an OME VW Audi brand made in Hungry, it was 7pin and worked. SMP offered to replace it, or refund it finally, but Amazon already took care of it. So not sure if the one I received was bogus. Appears there are 8Pin and 7Pin versions depending on when made.

This product was suppose to be the fuel pump relay. Pins were incorrect for my car.

I got this because im having issues with the car i have and when I put this in it, it over heats and stops working . Better to go to a junk yard and get a used one since they dont make them anymore

Even though Amazon said this item was the correct replacement part for my 2002 VW Jetta it was in fact an incorrect part. When compared to the original it turned out to have one less contact pin and the diagram printed on the side of the relay was different than the original. This was the first time I have ever had to return an item to Amazon and I have to say it was an amzingly simple and pain free process, furthermore my account was imediately credited with the cost of the item (less a reasonable shipping fee) even before Amazon had recieved the the return shipment. I have purchased many automotive repair parts from Amazon and with this one exception, they have all been the right part for the job. This will continue to be my auto parts store of choice.and I recomend it to anyone.

Ordered a Standard motor parts relay that had 8 pins and got a Intermotor brand relay that only has 7 pins. Will NOT work in my 2002 Jetta. in small print on side of box it says standard motor parts and made in china.
