Let me get the one negative out of the way first. I bought two of these last month. The first arrived with a heavy woodsy odor which took about three weeks to dissipate. Had no such pronlem with the second order. So just know this may be an issue for future purchasers but not a dealbreaker as it turned out.That said this shelf unit is both beautiful and very sturdily built and requires no assembly at all - a definite plus! Some have commented on the price and while it is a bit steep the workmanship makes the expenditure worth it Each unit contains five shelves with a capacity of almost 300 CDs total. Each unit is surprisingly compact and takes up little space so one can have several without any space issues. As far as what fits on the shelves- standard CD jewel case including multi disc sets and some but not all box sets depending on the height. Some have mentioned DVD storage - these will only fit on the top shelf. This unit is specifically designs for CDs. Each shelf unit also comes with wooden blocks attached to presumably separate some of one’s collection but I personally find these unnecessary as I fill up each shelf to capacity. I wish these blocks could be removed but that does lot seem possible as they are very tightly secured.So even with the above issue this item can be heartily recommended for secure and aesthetically pleasing CD storage.

I'm very happy with the CD Rack. I did not have to assemble it. It looks pretty sturdy and holds a lot of CD's. The only thing that I had an issue with is the slider dividers. The rack came with two.that were on the top shelf. I was not able to remove the sliders and place them on another shelf. There was an order slip inside the box to order more sliders if I want to, but at this time I am holding off for the time being. All in all the CD rack is great and I like it very much. I would recommend this CD Rack to others.

Ordered a CD stand to match o ne we had previously purchased. Unfortunately the stand did not match the previous stand, in either dimensions or the capability to move the dividers to different levels. Paid $202 and decided to return the stand. The return directions said the stand had to be shipped by 7/31. It was shipped via UPS on 7/28 at a cost of $120. This company does not cover the return shipment. Even though they received it (confirmed by UPS tracking) on 8/1 they asked for proof of shipment two weeks later. When the proof was provided we then received an email from Amazon stating that there would be a restocking fee of $94. So when all is said and done we paid $214 and have no CD stand. I would never do business with Virventures again.I would give them a 0 rating but that is not available.

Great CD rack, well made from fine wood. Love them. The only issue is why only two of those sliding dividers were supplied when there are four shelves? Also the two are connected to the same row and I can't remove one and place it on another shelf. Strange.

Unfortunately the first rack came to me with no packing material in the box and had broken dowel rod. The company handled the return and I reordered.It came in great shape. using the rack and it fits right in with the 2 other racks that I've owned for years, great adjustable storage shelves.

Several comments were about the dividers being on the wrong levels. They are actually easy to move.First move the divider that you want to move to the middle of the level you wish to remove it from.Second, grasp the two dowels it is attached to with one hand.Third, squeeze the dowels together until they bend close enough together to allow you to remove the divider. It shouldn’t be difficult to do this.Reverse the procedure to place your divider on your chosen level.

This cd rack is nice to look at but not very sturdy; also, the customer service is horrible and send only form letters if you reach out to them by email and do not answer their phone calls. If you decide to return it, it is a HUGE HASSLE and the customer pays to ship it back and in my case was over $100 than the rack costs so if you buy it be sure as most likely it is all yours!
