I had this type of old fashioned peeler years ago. Wore it out. Every peeler I tried over the years was disappointing. The peeler portion didn’t move easily, would get stuck. Found this and bought it. Comfortable in my hand. Works smoothly.

The Ekco potato peeler died. We figure it was at least 40 years old. I went out to get another one. If you can find a cheap one, the shipping will kill you. This one looks the same and it peels potatoes the same according to my wife. I do no peel potatoes because I am left handed and I need a separate potato peeler (look it up) . If it lasts only 25 years, we will feel that it was a good buy.

Bought to replace a similar old-school peeler I've had for 30 years that's finally getting dull. However, this one is absolutely worthless. It literally does not peel... The blade feels sharp enough, but the construction doesn't enable the blade to make connect with the vegetable, so it just skates across the top of it without any effect. At the very least, a vegetable peeler should, um, peel vegetables. Not this one. Buy something else!

It's funny but I have several vegetable peelers of different styles. One was my mom and dad's that I like using better than the others. The blade "floats " riding the contour of the vegetable. Taking more peel than vegetable. All the new ones have a fixed blade and are harder to guide. I've looked before and could not find these. Then I saw these and I had to buy two of them. They arrived today very similar in design, a little larger than my original, But functionally exactly the same. I'm so ecstatic to have found these.

I was looking for an ‘old fashioned’ back in the day peeler made like this. It looks like the old one but the blade is much longer so it isn’t as comfortable to hold. Also the swivel play in the peeler doesn’t allow for good hand control when peeling.

I wanted an old school potato peeler like my old one and this was perfect. Very sharp and works great!. Very happy with this purchase..

I bought one of these 4 years ago and it's still in great shape. Got a second so we'd have one available when the other is in the dishwasher.

recieved a faulty unit and company refunded the money,,,,will shop with them again if the oportuinity comes,,,cheers
