I was surprised by these brushes. I used one of each of the brass and steel to clean mounting flanges on an 85hp yamaha outboard today with great results. Wires held tight to the mandrels but the brass broke after a bit, to be expected so always wear your safety glasses. Much better than the ones that came with my rotary tool. Great price too.

Fear not! These are very durable wire brushes! I was skeptical because the only other cheap ones I have used are from harbor freight. And the HF brushes are laughable crap. These are head and shoulders better than the HF wire brushes.On a scale of 1 to 10 if the dremel brushes are 10 and the HF are 2-3 these are a solid 6-7.

I used these to remove rust and corrosion from my chrome wheels. I was surprised to find the smallest of the set worked best. I was also surprised to find there was no discernable scratching from the wire brushes.

These work well but wear out quickly and then fall apart and the little wire strings fly off and stick in your clothes and skin. So use them quickly and then throw away and get another. Rinse and repeat..

Great selection of brushes/wheels but they don’t seem to last very long. But it could be the pieces that I’m using them on, lots of sharp edges. I’d still buy another package of these when I’ve burned thru these.
