Had been cleaning the Flame sensor on and off for several years and it worked fine until last year. You can only clean them so much. Cost way too much for a repairman to install and these are very easy to do yourself. Got a great price on line, switched the two out and the furnace is once again running great.

For literally the price of a fast food menu and changing one screw you can save a hundred. The flame sensor is one of the most common parts to go out on a heater, so if your heat/ AC guy says he'll order you a new one... just don't schedule that callback. Thank him for his time and save $300 and just do it yourself. It takes maybe five minutes to install including finding your tools, well depending on hour orderly your toolbox is I suppose.

Bought two - one for a replacement and one for a backup. First one lasted a week. Second one lasted a month. Now have to light furnace 5 times before it works. Our family will be cold tonight. Very disappointing.
