Bolt on 10 minute install if that, cleared the CEL after driving for about 15 minutes. 3.6L pentastar engine. Dealer wanted $100 for the same part.

Received p105d and p0302 codes on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 3.6. Read a lot about this and figured this was worth a shot. I first tried to clean the old solenoid with MAF spray and it temporarily helped. Once I received this part it’s been running smooth and the codes haven’t come back. It’s very easy to swap the driver side. Luckily it wasn’t the passenger side. Seems the driver side fixes it for most people. You need to remove the engine cover which has a single torx bolt and 4 push/pull clips. Then unclip the top of the air filter box and unscrew the intake tube from the throttle body intake. Then you can move the whole air box. Also remove the sensor cable from the air box. From there it’s right in front of the spark plug bank. One 10mm bolt and the sensor clip. It comes right out and the new one slides in.

Boom! This fixed my cylinder two misfire. Long story short was getting the dreaded misfire code on cylinder two, but only sporadically. Code would throw anytime I floored the Durango. So I replaced plugs and coils on the driver side (2,4,6) and still got the code. Obviously wasn't a bad plug or coil so after looking more into the issue it seemed the solenoid wasn't working. Seems to be a common problem and I think it may have been causing other issues (issues with my stop/start and blowing my ignition block fuse). But after replacing the solenoid everything is running smoothly and no more misfires! Anyone getting the P0302 code give this a try. Easy fix!

This was for my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk with the 3.6L 24 valve VVT pentastar engine option and 116K miles. I was getting engine ODB codes P0302 (cylinder 2 misfire) and P105D (Intake valve stuck in high lift position). I had already replaced the cylinder 2 ignition coil pack with no luck. After taking my Jeep to the dealer and them not being able to get this part for 2 weeks, I ordered this myself at a fraction of the cost. It was extremely easy to replace on the valve cover that was not covered by the air intake. The other side of my engine requires the removal of the air intake Jeep for access. I am ordering a second one to replace the other original part to prevent problems on that cylinder head bank preemptively and to hopefully solve the remaining barely detectable shake that occurred intermittently for months before leading to the engine codes and extreme shaking/misfiring problems.

Had the same issue as other reviewers, p105d and p0302 error codes on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk just after reaching 100k miles. After watching though a couple of you tube videos, the install was fairly simple, the only real pain was figuring out how to disconnect the electrical clips.
