I purchased this to repair a stripped threads on a washing machine inlet connection. Worked like a charm. Cut new threads and saved a costly repair.

Just bought a house and the threads on my hose faucet were turning into a cave formation with calcium build-up. I was only able to get one full thread seated from the female hose end. I tried clr, wire brush, fine chisel and anything else I could think of. This thing is the only thing that did the trick. It took some doing, with a lot of carefully applied torque as to not snap off the faucet, but it came out like new!I found that taking small turns and backing it off then repeating worked best so that I didn't risk ripping the head off of my hose bib. It worked really really well and my hose connection is water tight for the first time in maybe 20 years.

I have a standard exterior hose bib. This tool ended up working really well. I soaked the bib in vinegar for 24 hrs and then used the deburring tool. I sprayed lithium grease on both pieces. It did end up being a challenge to start the process, and I ended up slowly threading it with my hand and attempted to tap it with a mallet to gain traction. That didn’t work. Pulling out an impact drill and putting knee pressure on the end of the drill, did the trick for me. Once I got it threaded on, I used a wrench to go the entire length of the bid. From there, I backed off slowly with the impact drill over the $500 and a total replacement. Worth the time and money.

Works as intended. With that being said, tapered threads and the indents to keep the socket on the drive. I can't in good faith give this product a 5 star due to lacking features that makes it difficult to use.

My garden hose is about 23 years old (Craftsman). I used this to chase the threads and it did work and my nozzles now fit better. The hose still worked the threads were kind of wonky. Not anymore.

I'm a single 71 y/o female. Had a corrosion problem with my outside faucet, and the faucet itself is buried in brick and mortar. I bought this thinking "well I'll give it a try. it took twice to just get it threaded, but slowly it screwed on, I followed the on/off method, and the spigot came out great! Hose actually will screw on now without a leak! Only complaint was the 3/8 ratchet would not fit the nut, thinking, I'm only going to use this on faucets, and used a hammer, and now it's on for life! the whole tool should be like this anyway!!!

The product I received did not work. I tried the cleaner nut on 10 standard outside faucet threads (1 new/unused) and the nut would not even catch the first thread, much less allow me to chase all threads.Could be the product I received was defective (chase threads not cut deep enough), and a replacement might be fine. If this should be the case, then the quality control for this product is lacking. Versus taking the chance that a replacement would deliver acceptable performance I instead requested a refund. I then ordered (also from Amazon) what appears to be the same tool design, but from another supplier and at a higher cost.
