If you have never used tungsten putty before, it is great for fine-tuning the weight on pinewood derby cars. You can get the exact amount so that the car is precisely at the limit. This specific kind seems to work well, it’s malleable similar to a soft eraser and slightly sticky so you can press it into small cavities or axle slots. Definitely recommended for getting car weight exact.

I use this for fly fishing when I need just the right amount of weight to get the fly a bit deeper. Famous words, you’re only one split shot away from being successful.
