Used to stencil a saying on a piece of wood. Yes you do have to do one letter at a time so it is time.Stencil is a thick plastic and worked well. Would recommend.

Nice quality, great to have individual letters and great to have the selection of sizes so I could get just what I wanted. Worked great for my historical society sign. Works well with oil paint markers.

It was my first time using stencils with acrylic paint so I was hoping to save time and just be able to blot the paint with a sponge over the lettering. Not a great idea- you will have areas of bleeding if you do this as the stencil doesn’t stick flush with the surface. It took a lot more time than anticipated because of that and having to do one letter at a time, allowing the paint to dry completely before placing the next stencil, but all in all I am happy with the result and will continue to use.

The letters and numbers are crisp and clean. Easy to spray a sharp letter.The problem is you can only do one letter at a time. You have to place each letter individually. You have to shield the surface each time. If you place each letter square edge to edge you have about 3/4 inch between letters. Way to much. Check my picture above and imagine 3/4†between letters. This also takes a long time.I have worked with stencils before that either locked together or had an alignment indicator creating the correct distance between letters. This allows you to create, shield and spray a word or sentence all in one operation. This would make things much easier. Especially when you have a complex paint job you are lettering and may have to repair. You can check the pic above and see a little overspray on my project.My recommendation is to check out to make sure you get what you want. I guess I just assumed. These types of tools are supposed to make things easier and faster for us not the opposite.
