So if you had the traditional upsp lock on your mailbox this will not fitIt doesn't sit flush against the mailbox door because the core housing has extra material on it.But it does come with just about every piece you'd need to get the job done at a great price.Bummed it didn't work for me

I bought this because my mailbox was broken into and I needed to replace the lock. There are many different locking mailboxes meaning I needed to pay attention to what I received. This package included multiple different locking mechanisms made to work with the majority of mailboxes. This did in fact work on my mailbox and I feel like the parts were heavier duty than the ones I was replacing. With how expensive locking mailboxes are, This is a very economical way of repairing my mailbox.

With the current Black Friday Deal it is a really good price as well. I found a need for the lock because I lost the mailbox key somewhere and it was to the point the postman told me either I get a lock I can open or he will stop delivering mail and they will be marked return to sender. Back in the day they would drop it off if you had a problem, but it appears those days are long gone.His solution to replacing the lock raised my eyebrows a bit. Just shove a regular screwdriver in the slot and twist the lock open. Sounds really secure to me. So I did. Inserted this lock, which was easy to install, and now I have mail again. So far it is working fine and seems reasonably priced.
