These are 37-degree fittings, not to be confused with the brass 45-degree flare fittings that you'll find in stock at your local hardware store.The two are NOT interchangeable! But these 37-degree JIC hydraulic fittings ARE interchangeable with aluminum -AN fuel fittings. The number in AN fittings corresponds with 1/16th inch. So a -8 AN fitting is 8/16ths or 1/2" and corresponds to a 1/2" JIC fitting.
