I was disappointed in the quality. I was expecting a harder leather similar to a tanned belt as the description implied instead it was soft like a grizzly leather. I made a sling with it and the edges took forever to slick down. Its so soft I couldn't bevel the edges or make guide lines for the stitching. I'm nervous to tool on it because I fear it won't last.

Beautiful genuine leather strap roll 1 inch wide and 72 inches long. Perfect for crafting projects, this leather is very good quality. Supple enough to cut easily yet strong and durable, this leather strap is ideal for making belts, purse straps, pet collars, furniture trimming, etc. It feels very smooth to the touch and is of a nice thickness. Gave this piece of leather to my wife who is a bag maker/sewer/embroiderer. She will be able to use it on one of the many projects she has going one. Leather was good quality and this particular piece was pliable and soft. Would recommend.

This strip of leather is good for leather work. Bracelets, or a belt. I think this length will allow at least one belt and one bracelet. The length was correct. I am still learning to work with leather. Once I have some photos of that, I'll add some images. The leather is pretty rough on the flesh side, and rougher on the back side. The edges are also rough cut. It will require some finishing work or would be great for a bracelet or boho look accessories.I'm happy with the product and it is as expected. There are other ways to order leather that are more cost effective for 'makers' who sell their art, but I feel this is a good value for someone like myself who is simply discovering leather crafts. I have painted some test colors, that look good.The color looks more black under 'daylight bulbs' and more brown under 2700k, while using the iphone camera. To my eye, the leather looks like a dark coffee bean color, and I really like it far better than a stark black.4 stars

My teenage son loves leather-working, so I got him this strap. He hopes to make a belt of it. It is very real feeling leather, durable and not plasticky. It doesn't smell. It will be relatively easy to work with.
