I ordered these because I had some projects that were on hold until I could cut some sheet metal, including an oversized 3D printer bed and a few other similar items. I was also hoping they might function to trim PCBs (printed circuit boards) and protoboard for my electronic projects. So I'm more of an occasional user, rather than someone who depends on the tool for day-to-day work. Given that though, I've been pretty impressed with these so far.They do an excellent job with circuit boards, producing nice clean cuts that are easy to control. I had a little more difficulty with the steel sheet used for my printer bed, since that's a considerably tougher material. Mainly, it was a little hard to start the cut (the sheet would just kind of flop over between the jaws), but once I figured out my technique it did a fine job, cutting cleanly without warping the sheet. (You just have to start the cut with the metal as far back into the jaws as possible).So overall, exactly what I was hoping for, and a very helpful addition to my toolbox.

These are pretty solid and will cut sheet metal fine if it isn't too thick. My hand gets fatigued using them. They're a decent value for the price.

I ordered the "10 Inch Aviation Tin Snips, Heavy Duty Metal Cutter Shears for Cutting Sheet Metal, Straight Cut, Chrome Vanadium Steel" for cutting metal roofing. This is my first pair of aviation tin snips and I am really impressed with the durable structure, sharp tooth tip, and easy precise cutting. These are definitely well-made, strong, and have a very comfortable grip. Overall - excellent snips.

I tried to cut some metal trim with these and all they did was bend it, not cut it. Also, it is extremely heavy and awkward to use. It snaps open when you unhook it, so much so that it jumped out of my hand. And it opens too wide to hold it in my hand to use it. Closing it is also awkward since the clip seems difficult to close in the right spot so it doesn't snap back open.

Good solid tin snips. My old snips were decades old. These are nice to have.
