would work very well in a home setting. we use these to run 12v sprayer pumps in an industrial setting and they work great until the get wet and corrode.

I was pleasant ly surprised to find that there were ten pair on connectors in the pack. I thought I was getting only one. Reread the ad. Sure enough, ten pair are advertised. Lousy ad copy, though. That's why I thought I was getting only one.

The female unit is easy to insert ~18G wire. The male barrels? Well that's another story. You can back off the secure screws all you want and the wire wont insert. You can push hard, but all you'd be doing is bend the wire. I had to throw away a few barrels till I found one I could "entice" the wire to insert into the bay.I'm not really surprised. There's very very very few things you can purchase nowadays that actually works as expected and is not cheap !@#$ese crap.
