XLNT TECH Acrylic Sheet Description
XLNT TECH is a registered trademarked brand of acrylic sheets in the USA, Canada, EU, UK, and China. Please recognize the XLNT TECH logo and the words "Cast Acrylic Sheet" on the acrylic sheet protection film. Some vendors use extruded acrylic sheets instead of cast acrylic sheets to reduce costs. Please be careful to distinguish between "Extruded" and "Cast" acrylic sheets as they are printed on the film.
Why should you select cast acrylic sheets over extruded acrylic sheets?
- ✔ After polishing, the cast acrylic sheet will shine with noble luster.
- ✔The odor of the extruded sheet will be more unpleasant when cut. The odor and smoke of cast acrylic sheets will be much less than extruded sheets. Laser engraving machines still require fume purifiers when cutting and engraving.
- ✔During the engraving process (both CNC and and laser machine), cast acrylic will not develop holes.

A great way to get your feet wet with acrylic for laser cutting. Easy to work with, cuts well. Haven't tried etching yet but it seems thick and sturdy enough to etch well. Not a great value for larger projects or production, but an affordable way to get several colors to try.

My application for this material was as a cabinet faceplate for an electronics project. I have found a lot of information online about using a diode laser to cut acrylic plastic, much of it contradictory. I used a Sculpfun S9 laser cutter/engraver with 455nm (visible), 5.5W diode laser and Lightburn software. I conducted a series of tests using this opaque, 118" XLNT assortment to determine which colors were suitable for laser cutting. I found that the Black, Yellow and Dark (Kelly) Green were most easily and quickly cut (50% power. 60mm/min, 4 passes). The Vermillion, Red and Light Green colors could be cut with a little more power (79% power, 60mm/min, 4 passes). As can be seen in the photo, there is a little dimpling around the openings, but this might be reduced by further optimization. However, I was unable to cut the Orange, Light Blue or Dark Blue acrylic sheets. It looked to me as if for those colors, the dye in the plastic turned white when hit with the laser.

I love the variety of colors, had no issues with cutting on my laser. Nice variety pack if you’re just starting out or need it for smaller jobs. Also I didn’t know acrylic can sublimated on, it took the picture fine but I did apply uv resin after

The following colors failed to cut: white, light blue, dark blue, and orange.The other colors cut okay, with the black color being the best having the smoothest edges and cleanest cut.

I see a few reviews on here that trash talk this product because their diode laser can't cut through. If you do even 4 seconds of Google research, you would know that diode lasers can't cut through acrylic, and in instances where it does - it does so very poorly. This product is just acrylic sheets of plastic. I don't think its fair to hold it against the product when it was entirely avoidable if you had just researched it.

This is real nice material, nice sharp colors. I think it might be ABS so watch if you are laser engraving like I did. Excellent price and great selection.
