Very easy to install. Drill a slightly larger hole than you think you'll need. I've used them to mount a very heavy pot hanging rod.

As a DIY, I discovered these a few years ago when looking for a more secure wall anchor to attach a drapery rod. They are much more secure than any other wall anchor I have used. I found that I needed the 3/16 size bolt for a stair railing bracket and was happy to find this bolt size. They are easy to use, following directions, and they are the solution is you can't connect to a stud. My stair railing is solid with this anchor even though it is not connected to a stud. The drapery rod installed years ago is still firmly attached as well.

If you’ve never used these kind of anchors, they are great. Very strong…… highly recommend

Half of this 10 pack broke off in a bad spot so that the backing fell off in the wall. I'm ot real confident in these holding up.

Although advertised as drywall anchors, I found these unique two-part toggle anchor bolts useful for mounting junction boxes and similar heavy items to synthetic stucco (EIFS) walls..To use these novel wall anchors, you first drill a 1/2-inch hole into your drywall or EIFS stucco wall. You then insert the metal toggle anchor into the hole using the long plastic extensions, allow it to flip open on the back side of the wall and then slide the plastic cap down until it fits snuggly against the hole opening in the wall. You then easily snap off the plastic extensions sticking out of the wall.Note that the plastic extensions are used only to hold the metal anchor toggle in place on the back side of the drywall or EIFS stucco wall until you insert the metal screw.I strongly suggest using a fender washer immediately against the exterior wall and another just under the screw head on top of whatever you’re mounting on the wall, especially if using these in EIFS stucco walls. Please note that once you screw the metal screw into the anchor toggle on the other side of the drywall or stucco wall, you now have a fully-metal anchor toggle bolt. Yes - there are still plastic pieces in the hole, but they serve no functional purpose at this point. This two-part anchor bolt system tsystem allows you to more easily anchor things to drywall or EIFS stucco without pm wall than when using a standard toggle bolt type system because you insert the metal toggle anchor first and then the metal bolt later. For a traditional toggle bolt, the toggle anchor must be screwed onto the end of the 3-inch or longer bolt before any part of it is inserted into the wall.I would’ve rated this item 5 stars, except the total lack of instructions on how to use them made first-time use of them more complicated/confusing gýt than necessary. Also, given the extra-long length of the plastic extensions, I believe the manufacturer should include a few longer bolts for those needing to use these anchor boltss on extra thick walls. But, you can always buy longer bolts at any hardware store if needed.

I have used the "name brand" version of these with great success over the years. These are nowhere near the quality or capability. The ratcheting head does not stay on well, so when you are snapping off the arms you can easily lose the in-the-wall bracket. If you don't lose at that point, you very likely will lose it while trying to screw into mount.Any cost savings upfront is lost if it takes 3-4 of them to accomplish the job.Very disappointed.
