I have a cable exercise machine and the cables get twisted. When they get twisted enough it's no longer smooth. So I put a swivel on the handles. That helped the problem but the swivels only worked when there wasn't any force on the handles.The swivels are two U shaped shackle pieces that are held together with one bold. The bolt is a bit loose, that's what gives it the swivel. I replaced the bolt with a longer one and a lock nut and put two of these bearings (one on the handle side and the other between the two shackle pieces) onto the bolt. The end result is this spins no matter how much weight I'm lifting. I was able to adjust the compression force by snugging up the lock nut so there' no play but it's also not too tight. These bearings are the final key to solving the problem.

These bearings work smoothly. Dimensions are exactly as advertised. All parts are nicely finished and races are well polished.

This bearings are extremely tiny and work very well. Like a lot of thrust bearings, they require a constant compressive force in order to hold them together in an assembly, so keep that in mind. The tests I've run so far have resulted in very smooth operation, which is always nice to see in such a small component.
