This is a great pencil set. Any budding artist, curious hobbyist or ambitious child would love this. The design on the outside of the case might imply that it's for kids, but this is a versatile collection of art tools that suits all but the youngest of ages.The product description doesn't actually list everything that's included (it says, "and other accessories") so I'll try to fill the gap... In addition to the graphite pencils in 14 hardnesses, three charcoal pencils (soft, medium, hard), 24 colored pencils, 12 metallic colored pencils and 12 watercolor pencils, there are a variety of accessories. The accessories include a small paint brush, sandpaper sharpener, 3 blending stumps of different diameters, pencil sharpener, kneaded eraser, standard eraser, 2 sketch wipe scrapers and replacement heads, pencil extender and a 6-inch ruler/straight edge. And to give you something to start on there is an adult coloring book with 47 pages of animals and a blank sketchbook that has 30 pages of white paper plus 10 black and 10 brown/tan.The case keeps everything together and securely organized.I'll admit that I'm not accomplished enough to know how to use it all, but this set opens up new art techniques to explore. I haven't mastered watercolor pencils yet and can't compare the quality to other brands, but they're fun to experiment with and there are multiple techniques to try out. Find a good video tutorial online for tips if you're not familiar.

My oldest teen is a prolific artist and loves to take kits like this on trips. When this one came in the mail there were squeals of joy. The binder is fantastic with bright colors and a really fun print on it. The shear number of colored pencils was enough to make his eyes light up. The charcoal pencils and accompanying smudger were also big hits. Best of all is that everything, including the paper, fits back into the binder and can be zipped so things don't fall out.If you have teens, this is a great gift idea. If you want to take an art kit with you for traveling, this is a great option. It is a little bulky, but there is just SO much stuff inside, you'd be golden. I'm not even an artist and I might get one for me too... lol

There are plenty of low end art supplies out there but this little kit is actually well appointed for a youngster starting out. Not for kindergarden age, but perhaps a 10 - 18 year old range. The supplies are useful in that one can do more accomplished drawing work (with blending tools) and watercolor pencils are always fun (the control of a pencil and the washes of color when water is added. This particular kit was very well received by a high schooler.

One of the better all-around drawing kits I've seen. Nothing earth-shattering, but worth the price. Plus, the case is adorable. Not sure I like the black eraser that the company seems to be phasing out the standard white vinyl eraser for. Doesn't bother me enough to dock a star, however. Very Satisfied.

honestly can't go wrong with this set, especially for the $20 sale price. there's an impressive variety of materials here.I love the pencil extender and the soft charcoal pencil that's really dark and surprisingly pleasant to write with. the coloring book looks fun too, and I'm gonna be messing around in it with some friends. I've already used some of the colored pencils to enhance my watercolors and I really loved the look of it, so I'll be using those more for sure. and I'm pretty excited to use the toned sketchbook pages with some gouache!!the only thing I'd give a miss to so far was the hard charcoal, which was pretty unpleasantly scratchy to write with and honestly not even as dark as a 2B graphite pencil :/

This art kit is awesome...The description online was very accurate. The zipper case is well-made and will keep all of the pencils and colors organized in one spot. It includes adult coloring books, sketch paper, and all the different colored pencils that are listed on the website. What a great gift for the artist and your family or yourself. It keeps all of your art supplies in one place that zips up and can be placed anywhere on a bookshelf.

This art kit has a lot of different elements for a young artist to try. At this price I’m sure they’re not professional quality, but there are so many things to work with that a young or beginning artist can get lots of experience with this kit. I love that the kit is zippered shut and fairly compact to make it easy to carry along. A great gift for my son.
