I live in a location that experiences consistent 90° temperatures in the summer. Keeping the house cool is a challenge. This material worked well to keep the sun from shining in the windows and heating up the rooms during the summer season. The silver side did a nice job reflecting the heat.I hesitated to install them using the hook and eye tape provided so I've been experimenting with alternatives like clothes pins attached to the wooden blinds. These are a functional, economical, temporary, reusable, solution for reducing the summer solar heat gain.

Easy to cut and block the sun extremely well; however because they only have sicky Velcro options for mounting they, seem to be mostly intended for permanent use. A magnet mounting option would make them better for use when traveling as you could fold vs cut to fit a variety of window sizes.

These block 100% of the light no issue. The fabric is really good quality as well.

I've struggled with insomnia for years and I realized that the early morning sunlight peeking through my blinds was probably a big part of the problem. I bought these blackout curtains on a whim and they've genuinely changed my sleep. My room is pitch black now until I want to wake up. I'm sleeping through the night for the first time in ages and I have so much more energy during the day. They were shockingly easy to install and the material feels really nice. Anyone with sleep issues needs to try these!

We have been happy with this blackout curtain. In trying to get better sleep and have a simple solution to some window coverings that were too see-through, this blackout curtain has met the challenge successfully. Been pretty happy with it and overall, feel good about this as a choice.

Yes, I'm the dummy that misread/thought I was getting something else. I have a portable black out curtain that I bought a couple years back and LOVE it. It's amazing, especially in 100+ degree weather for weeks on end. THIS, however, not. worth. the. time. or. money. I should have duct taped a towel on my window rather than this thing. The tape/stickers are an absolute hassle and disgusting when the sun literally melts them away. Don't do it.

It would’ve been perfect but the double sided tape doesn’t stick so well in the heat. we got few to cover the windows after moving to the new place, we thought we were going to be able to buy blinds quick, but it hasn't happened yet, we are so thankful for these affordable blinds because they are still up and covering the windows after a couple of months of installation, with just some cleaning for the daily use. They blackout the daylight very well. Great value shades.
