I was looking for a christening gown that was all cotton and fairly simple. This dress is perfect. The lace detail is quite beautiful and the gown overall is exactly what I was looking for. It is soft and understated while still being formal and pretty.As others mentioned, it is light, especially compared to the more elaborate gowns with tulle. However, the cotton fabric is not thin. It feels to be a nice weight of cotton and high quality. There is only one layer of cotton fabric on the length of the dress, but a doubly layer up on the bodice portion. This dress would be excellent for a summer baptism. It is still suitable for other climates when worn with a white onesie and pants, etc.

We had a last minute christening gown emergency. I was skeptical to purchase this gown due to some of the reviews but I am 100% satisfied. My little grandaugter is just under 7lbs and the newborn fit was perfect. I ordered the slip extra due to some of the reviews but the material light weight for warmer day but not sheer. We would have been fine without the slip. This little gown gets ***** from all of us! Very happy with this purchase!

Very nice dress. Well made,100% cotton, hand made. This dress was ordered for great granddaughtersBaptism could definitely be used fo any occasion. I would recommended to family and friends.

This dress was absolutely gorgeous. It may not have all the poof and bling like other baptism dresses but it’s simplicity was absolutely elegant. I was glad I purchased the undergarment with it becaus it is pretty thin. I could’ve just put my baby in a onesie underneath which I still might but the added layer will be nice. The trim is just classy and simple and the bonnet is perfection. Worth every penny.

This dress is simply beautiful. So simple yet so elegant. My daughter looked super cute in it.It does wrinkle pretty easily when holding and transporting baby, but it still looked good when wrinkled. Perfect for warmer climates. Hat is just stunning.Shoes stay put which was great too.Loved it!

This material is a cotton that wrinkles easily and it took quite a bit to get out the wrinkles from shipping. Other than that a very pretty (but somewhat plain) dress

This Christening dress is very well made and very sweet. Be sure to order the slip to go underneath the dress as it is fairly sheer. My granddaughter looked like a little angel unit. Shipping was on time.
