The concept is great for quilting, however they would not go through my batting and 2 pieces of thin material.Updated: I realized my batting had skrim in it. They worked fine on batting without it.

Compared to other safety pins, these are easier to use. The spring action is light to the touch. When pin-basting dozens of safety pins into a quilt sandwich, a light spring is welcome.

I love these. They have more of a curve than the Dritz ones I have so they’re easier to use And they feel sturdier too. If I ever need more I’ll buy these again
