These sponges are NOT like regular sponges that you wash your car or clean your dishes with. For that purpose, they may do the job but they won't stand up well because they are made to fall apart. I'll explain in a sec. But once you use these for cleaning your bathroom, you'll NEVER use anything else again. So, I have read the other reviews and I agree with all of them. However, the mediocre reviews are from folks who are using them in a way that they are not best suited. For example, I can sell you a screwdriver and you can use it as a chisel and give it a bad review saying it's a horrible chisel. But if you used it as a screwdriver, it would work fabulously!Case in point, these sponges are made from Melamine. Melamine is extremely abrasive and porous. It's literally like microscopic grain sandpaper. It's not going to scratch your tub but it will rub the paint off of the wall with just a couple sturdy wipes. So, if you get these, know that they are THE BEST at removing soap scum/buildup in the bathroom. You can also remove surface stains from drywall but be very careful and rub extremely gently or you'll go right through your paint. One other thing, these sponges, because they're so abrasive and porous, will fall apart as you use it. This is normal. I keep using it even when it gets to the size of a quarter.I did a side-by-side test on soap scum in my bathroom with my son. I sprayed a cleaning chemical (foaming bubbles something or another) in the bathtub on a spot with some soap buildup and gave my son a wet sponge and asked him to have at it. He scrubbed for an entire minute and finally gave up saying, "It's not going to come out."Then I handed him one of these melamine sponges. You need to get them damp before you use them. He was able to remove the spot in one swipe! He literally could not believe it. Seriously, removing soap scum is effortless. It's almost fun because of how easy it is to clean the tub now.I challenge you to find a better soap scum remover.

These are just magic erasers without the brand name attached. Great value for the money. They cost 20¢ a piece and work just as well as the Mr. Clean version (which cost $1 or more for one or two). The photo makes them look much bigger that they are, I’m able to easily store them in my linen closest with the rest of the cleaning supplies. If you have never used a magic eraser, you absolutely must try them. They clean so well. Fingerprints on walls? Wet a sponge and wipe the wall. No cleanser required. It will remove almost any smudge from paint. I don’t have kids, but rumor has it that it will even remove crayon from the wall. I use sharpies to label my Pyrex and Tupperware, and with one exception, it always removes it completely. Same thing with mason jars. Ring around the tub? These sponges got you covered. Little to no elbow grease required. Here’s a pro tip for dog owners that use stainless steel bowls for their dog’s food and water: you know how they leave a layer of slobber behind? And it takes some time to get it out using a regular sponge? Wet a magic eraser, and one wipe will remove all their sliminess from the bowl and they’ll have fresh and clean dishes with barely any effort on your part. The one downside is they tend to disintegrate as you are using them. I cleaned my fridge and freezer with one, but it wouldn’t have been much good after that as it fell apart. But it’s cool, because I have 99 more.

I compared these to a Magic Eraser. They are just a tad under the same size, length, width and thickness. I did however do a side by side comparison removing some stain from the outside of my porch. It was a tough stain and they worked equally well. So I gave them a 4 star.

Why pay more for Mr. Clean erasers when you can get this pack that lasts forever? I bought this years ago and still haven't used them all. They're great for areas that collect dirt like doors and window sills, but also for keeping your sneakers white. Highly recommend this product!

I've tried the Mr. Clean erasers and it works fantastic for my household, but they are pricy. I researched this for a bit and found many people saying the name-brand ones are basically melamine sponges, so I decided to give this a try as it was inexpensive for a small bulk.I tried this along with some name-brand ones and found they do work just as well. They are slightly thinner and smaller compared to the Mr. Clean one. They do not last as long as the Mr. Clean ones either. I find these sponges break easier too, so when I use them I do have to be careful of where I put pressure on and switch often. However, for the price and amount I get it is negligible.

I love these. Ive been ordering for about 2 years and they do the job. Obviously don't use them on waxed or finished surfaces because they will remove it. But for inside sinks and bathtubs they do what is expected. I also use them on glass with limeaway and they remove hard water spots that are not etched in.

Used these to clean various things over a series of weeks, being able to buy in bulk makes it easy to have these supplies on hand for doing dishes or cleaning the bathtub to buffing marks off drywall and other surfaces.

Great value for the amount of sponges that you get however are definitely more flimsy than the on brand of magic eraser. They tend to shred with a lot of force, but they get the job done for the price you’re paying.

Not extra thick or long lasting, but outside of those point, not bad for the price.
