Like the stainless material. Would really like to know the spring rate constants for the pieces in this set. Would buy other sets with different assortment of specs.

At my farm I often need a special size of spring. Rather then try to find and buy just the right size I instead look for assortments with a variety of sizes. That way I can find one for my current project or repair and can keep a variety of other sizes on hand for future use.These are well made from stainless steel.

I bought them to replace broken springs in 100 year old door latch mechanisms. It had my perfect spring length and width for several different doors. Well packaged, 4 springs per size in tiny ziplocks, 25 different sizes, well identified and they come in a plastic snap lock storage case.

I mostly use these on my pooper scooper. The spring seem to regularly break.

This kit contains 25 individually bagged sizes with four springs each. Like some other reviewers mentioned, the labeled size conversions aren't very accurate. Most seem to be good, but I found a couple errors and I wouldn't rely on them at all. The packaging claims that the springs are stainless steel, but in my experience, stainless steel tends to have a more neutral tone. These springs are extremely shiny and are slightly blueish, which looks an awful lot like most of the zinc plated hardware I've used. This is by no means a scientific test, but just the appearance makes me wonder. Also worth mentioning, most stainless steel is non-magnetic, and these are very magnetic. If you need stainless, I'd go with something more trusted.Aside from that, I think the kit is great for a variety of small projects. If you label the kit to not forget the conversion issue and don't need stainless, it can come in handy, however I wouldn't be surprised if most people wouldn't want to deal with that.
