They are guaranteed to make your panels centered and rattle free. Simply place two or three balls equally spaced in each channel before inserting the panel. Balls measure .26" diameter and are made of synthetic rubber. Made in USA.

Very cool very simple product. (Make sure you read the BUT)Allows for expansion of panels so you don’t get fractured rail/stile when moisture content goes up and eliminates door rattle. I have used on a few custom kitchens and very happy with results. I calculate actual size and subtract 6mm, seems to give a good fit. BUT ONE ISSUE....in manufacturing there must be some oil that are residually left behind. Used them on walnut doors and got some oil? that penetrated the edges of the panel and was clearly visible (see pic). SOLUTION - put some sawdust in your bag of balls and it will absorb before it gets to your project.

I was initially concerned about ordering these because of some reviews I read. I read some reviews about an oily surface on the balls. I didn't notice any with mine, but put some sawdust in the bag to be safe. I also read a review about the size being too small. These are the same size as those I bought from Rockler years ago. They fit in the grooves of my raised panel doors just fine. No problems!

Space balls....not the movie....these are all consistent in size so no surprises there. However these will be used in a .25 groove and there right at .25 diameter so they sometimes will not stay put long enough for assembly without a small dab of glue. So if these were about say .27 diameter they would be awesome! Will buy again though!

I bought these for some cabinet doors that I was making. After feeling them, I decided that they would be better suited for my project if they were cut in half. I cut my raised panels 3/16" shorter than the stiles. I placed one half a ball in each corner of the rails. This made only 1/32" of compression on each side of the panel which is enough to keep the panels from rattling around in the frame. It also aided in the ease of assembly since it was mild compression.Hint: Stain the edges of your panels prior to assembly. Since these are floating panels, you don't want to see white wood when the frames and panels expand and contract.

Perfect and cheaper than he can buy at box stores and they’re the same thing. Just about time to order another container. No more searching for them. Thank you Amazon!

They do the job perfectly. I sell cabinets for 6 major companies for a large home improvement store. I have nice machines of my own and build a few things for myself. Using these you can build doors or panels that are as solid as anything out there on the market today. I highly recommend them. Also the day I ordered them, I also ordered several other items from 5 other companies at the same time. The space balls arrived 2 days earlier than any of the other products ordered. So, Good Product, Fast Service.

I used these in the construction of my cabinet doors for some time now. Space Balls allow for expansion and contraction of center panels while keeping panels centered in door frames. An additional benefit is that they increase the exposed reveal of your raised panels. You might note that I pre-stain the panels and edges of the Coop & Stick profile of the frames prior to assembly.
