One lug was stripped on arrival, and the knockouts are not fully stamped to remove adequately. I was able to repair, but you get what you pay for.

Spot welds are weak. The knock out plugs hold strong though!! This unit is garbage. Do not recommend.

Knock outs were just stamped. Had to use a drill for the knock outs since they wouldn’t punch out. The bottom came off and had to weld back in place. Disappointed

This switch is great for the price and will do the job but good luck on trying to get the knockout broken out. you will pretty much destroy the box. I advise you to use a step drill bit but that's the only issue I had.

This was exactly what I needed to connect a backup generator to my existing whole house generator. I wanted to be able to have a backup wired and ready to go incase my whole generator has any issues. This box does that for me: Incoming power on the top connector, house feed in the middle, and the backup generator on the bottom connector. Switch is up for normal utility or whole house generator power, and down for the diesel backup generator. This switch is in a solid box, seems very well built of quality parts.Update: I checked with my electrical inspector and was told that I can’t use this as I intended because it does not have fuses and the box is too small for the bend radius of the wires, in my township.. it would not be code. It is still a nice switch and could be used for other things.
