The picture explains the hassle involved with using this brand of rivets. Choose wisely and save time. All but 3 rivets required the pin to be cut off and ground smooth. The pin is too soft and snaps off below the jaws in the rivet gun rather than within the rivet head as this style should do. The aluminum pieces being held together equaled less than half of the rivet's length of 1/2" so the failure to snap the pin off correctly wasn't from too short of a rivet but rather a manufacturing defect. I also had a few severely deformed rivets with an egg shaped head that QC missed at the factory. Upgrade to a better quality rivet if you want to save time and money.

Using these rivets to link some areas together for reinforcement. Seem to work well. Nothing incredible, but they do the job.
