Used these for riveting the holding holes on an Lsx motor (LS4) on the oil aluminum pan for holding the new O.E. gasket. It is necessary to stay put while positioning and holding the AFM FIX AUTHENTIC GM REDISIGNED OIL PAN GASKET BY GM TO FIX OIL BURNING ON THE AFM ANY LSx MOTOR.Without these rivets you will create a major oil leak.Use these rivets and they are cheap enough for the diy or professional mechanic shop.Use them each time the oil pan gasket is changed.You might find plastic timing chain tensioner pieces at bottom of pan.The fix for that is to use the pre-2007 timing chain dampener for the LSx motors insteadMuch better and will NOT bust break like the junk yellow plastic anorexic one GM put on at the factory to save money.The black dampener is best. Do NOT USE anything but OE. GM FOR AFM FIXX OIL GASKET OR YOU WILL NOT FIX THE AFM BURNING OIL PROBLEM. GM OWNS THE REDESIGN PATENT SO F*LPRO DOES NOT MAKE THIS GASKET OR OTHER AFRERMARKET SUPPLIER.

If your material total thickness is 1/4" then these rivets are to short. The rivets are exactly 1/4 in long meaning there is no stick-out on the opposite blind side of the material. The description should say overall length 1/4" and not grip range of 1/4". If riveting 1/4" total thickness you need to buy 3/8" OVER ALL LENGTH rivets!

Rivets work great and the price was very good compared to others. The only thing I don't like is that the head was kind of small, the rivets I ordered from another seller had larger heads so because these have small heads I had to put a washer which made the rivet higher.
