I live in an area where winter means rain and rain means mud. Not just any mud, clay mud. My back yard is fenced but the grass really takes a beating with three very active big dogs. Hand walking in the front yard becomes a necessity when mud season goes full tilt. The grass would probably survive, but my sanity and my floors would not. I needed a longer leash so I could stand in the driveway but allow the dogs have a little bit more room. The dogs don't mind wet paws, I hate wet shoes. This leash is the perfect length to allow them to sniff every. single. blade. of. grass. while I can stay on the not wet driveway. It's heaven sent!I have used it to take them on the little longer than short walk to the mailbox and it does very well. Both handles are padded which makes holding them comfortable. Of note, this lead is 15 feet long. If you don't have control of it, dogs are going to dog and inevitably end up with it under a leg(s). I am constantly adjusting the length of the lead as we're walking based on my dog's distance from me. I've let it run through my hand as they're getting more distance without issue. It's a webbing type material so if Rover is full tilt and you're letting it run through your hand, it's not going to feel like fuzzy fleece. The material makes it durable and allows it to stand up to a decent amount of abuse. As a training lead, this also works well for teaching recall. The handle helps you maintain control of it, even when your dog is 15 feet away. I appreciate the loop that's closer to the dog to allow for more direct control when traffic is nearby or I need to keep my dog closer to me. I just coil up the excess and hold it in one hand with my other hand on the shorter leash. It's not retractable so if you don't gather the excess, you can't blame the leash when it gets tangled. Full disclaimer: my dogs are already full trained and have on a dime recall. I did not use this specific leash when I did their training but I used something very similar. That one has long since been lost to the garage goblins so I'm happy to have this to do their refresher work with, even though that wasn't my primary purpose when purchasing it. I can see this being useful for walks where you want your dog to have a little more freedom but still have them on leash and maintain control.Overall, I'm beyond happy with this for my intended purpose. It'll work great as a training lead or for walking and giving your pupper more freedom while staying on leash.

Love this extra long leash. Very sturdy. Has two handles to keep dog on shorter leash when in traffic. Washes well in machine in a lingerie bag.

It's bigger and heavier duty than I was expecting but that was a really nice surprise! Nice weight and quality stitching. The color is a really nice neutral green. Would recommend.

Well made traffic lead. I use it as a therapy dog handler and like the 4' length and the shorter 2' lead option. Metal loop by the lead handle makes it easier to attach a poop bag or id. The handle is nice on the hand. Cheerful color. It's a little heavy for my 26 lb dog. It's a bit of a trade-off. It's the perfect width for holding or for walking my lab but heavy for a smaller dog.Well made.

I have been buying & using dog leashes for more than forty years. When this leash arrived I was amazed at the quality for the price I paid. The workmanship is just wonderful.
