Cut offs as advertised, nice and sharp. They need to update the specs on % Trans for 700nm. To help reduce even more I stacked 2 of them. They are useful for the planned camera applications but also for amateurs using spectrometers looking for ways to evaluate scatter.If they could I would like to suggest another product -- 360-830nm corresponding to the range used in chromaticity calculations. It may be a niche market, but I am sure that some may appreciate being able to simply use a filter for both reducing scatter by reducing the wavelength window and expanding the range over this product for better evaluations for the x,y and other color parameters.Great filters. Well worth it.

I was treating material with UV light, but my UV source also heated the material and ruined the effect. Since my UV beam was narrow, I was able to pass it through this IR cut filter. I was happily surprised that I could eliminate most of the heating with this one simple action when using this filter. I don't know where the heat went because when I took the assembly apart this filter was warm but not hot. Maybe it dissipates heat quickly, or maybe it took me too long before I tested. Take care to hold only be the edges. At about 3/8" diameter this can be challenging. Use clean disposable gloves, and don't scratch the surfaces.

This is as advertised, a good quality IR filter class. It has 10 mm diameter with thickness of 1 mm. This fits well for using in microscopy or spectroscopy devices. My only complaint is why it is shown to be compatible with DSLR cameras, maybe something I'm missing!

Large enough to cover a cell-phone type camera, such as the Raspberry Pi NoIR camera. Seems to work as expected, although I don't have a spectrometer to measure the actual attenuation curve.

I bought these filters to put in a PS3 Eye Camera acting as an Opentrack sensor, hoping to filter out visual interference. While it didn’t quite do that (because I was expecting some amount of ND as well, which in fairness is definitely not advertised), it did restore the focal length of the lens to roughly what it was before removing the IR cut filter in the camera and it definitely cut the visual spectrum. Infrared photography has a very unique appearance which is unmistakable.Even without the ND filtering I was mistakenly expecting, I’d definitely recommend getting these filters for the focal length restoration alone. In focus LEDs are much more precise and less likely to be combined and confused. They’re also very well sized for the PS3 Eye camera. They’re not perfectly sized such that it’s a drop in fit, but they’re large enough that placement and sloppy glue won’t impact the filtering effect.
