The original gas shock bracket had rusted and then it broke off. I was able to file down the portion that was left and then installed these brackets over the original bracket location.

These are easy to install and I used them with a gas strut on the bed platform of my travel trailer.

These seem to be well made, and hold up to a load. However these are installed on the outside of an RV, and started rusting right away. I will be replacing them with some stainless ones.
