These were perfect for a duck hunting jerk string. They open up easy to snap the line in there and they are perfect size for paracord.

I’ve got an old lapidary machine that my father used to grind and polish gemstones with, but its not in the best of shape. He got it second or third hand and it appears to have been modified by the previous owner as well. The drive train is in dire need of an overhaul and I’ve been looking for small pulleys that will accept 6mm round belts, so that I could improve the belt tensioning system, which currently has what appear to be a plastic window shade rope guide pulley being used as a tensioner pulley. The size is a bit too narrow and I don’t think it has a bearing at the center shaft, as it was never intended to be in constant motion for any length of time. Trying to find small pulleys that would work with 6mm round belt, and have ball bearing centers, has been a nightmare as no search query would return anything near what I was looking for. These snatch block pulleys are perfect for my application and I’m glad I took the risk in ordering these on a hunch that they may work. I am also glad to find that they do have ball bearings in them and are easy enough to disassemble without the need to grind down what would typically be a swaged pin. With these all that is required it a 10mm wrench and a Phillips screwdriver. With the set of 4 snatch block pulleys I can utilize 2 of them for the belt tensioner redesign project I have in mind for restoring the old lapidary machine. And I’ll still have a couple of spares for other projects. If you plan to use these as they were intended to be used, the outer plates are just loose enough to allow one to spin open the cleat to insert the rope or cable, then close it back and attach a chain ring or carabiner to the eyelet. These are also great for dog leash line runners and zip lines for the kids.

This product arrived well packaged and undamaged. If you're not familiar with a snatch block pulley, it allows you to place it on a rope without having to thread the rope through from the end. Simply spread the two halves, lay the rope across the pulley, then close the ends. I got these for that very reason. The pulleys are not very large, and I included a quarter as a size reference in my photos. As the rope I was using them with is fairly small, they fit well. The metal appears to be galvanized on the ears, and the pulley itself appears to be nickel or something similar. As I intend to use the outdoors for extended periods, the ability to resist rust and corrosion is important and these appear to be able to do that. The bolt through the pulley is secured with a locking nut so it should not loosen. The pulley rides on bearings and rolls smoothly. Overall, these appear to be sturdy and well made. The price for a 4-pack makes them a good value as well. Highly recommended.

These Small Snatch Cable Pully blocks seem like decent enough quality. They feel sturdy and strong and made of decent metal. Four of them for under $10 is a great price too. These are exactly as listed too. They come all sealed in a single bag.
