A Must Have When Adding Wheel Spacers

When installing any kind of slip-on wheel spacer, it is very important to change your lug bolts. This is necessary because the added thickness of the spacers reduces the thread engagement of the stock lug bolts. The solution to this is extended length lug bolts. With the added thread length, the bolts are able to engage your hub with enough turns for safer operation. StanceMagic has you covered with a wide range of extended lug bolts! • Shank Length: Verify this 40 mm Shank Length Bolt is the correct size. Buyers must measure their OEM bolt and spacer thickness to determine if this is the correct length. Please see above "How to Determine Shank Length Needed" diagram for measuring help.

• Verify vehicle lug bolt size, seat, and threads: Check your vehicle's bolt thread size, as various years/models come with different size bolts. Installing incompatible hardware can cause damage to vehicle components and may cause lug bolts to loosen while driving.
• Seat Type: Check your wheel lug hole. These bolts will only work if your lug holes are Cone Seat (60 Degree Taper).
• What is the difference between Cone and Ball seat?This is determined by your wheel's lug seat. The seat of the bolt refers to the part of the bolt that makes contact with the wheel's lug seat. The most common seats are Cone (conical / tapered) and Ball (radius / rounded). Cone type features a straight taper seat, whereas Ball type features a curved seat.
• How do I determine what Shank Length I need?
  • 1) Measure shank length of OEM bolt (Threaded portion, starting at end of the seat to the end of the bolt).
  • 2) Measure the thickness of the spacer you will be using.
  • 3) Add measurements from step 1 and step 2, and you have the shank length you need.
• During Installation, ensure that your bolts get 5-8 full turns before the lug nuts/bolts begins to tighten.
