Had a shorted TIP102 on a WPC95 power driver board. This new TIP102 performs perfectly in form and function.

I purchased these to replace a coil drive transistor on a bally pinball machine. I installed one of these transistors and it failed immediately when the coil was activated. I thought it could be I just picked a bad one from the package (should not happen) I replaced it 2 more times with the same result (shorted). I sourced 1 from another source and the PinBall is back to playing. They may work in some applications but in a pinball game they will not work on the large coils.

Took a gamble and should have listened to the negative reviews. Pinball machine coil fired once and then the transistor failed. Component is not up to spec. I'll have to source new components and replace again.

Bought this for pop bumper driver board on System 80 Pinball machine. It activates the coil once, then burns out.

I purchased these to replace a coil drive transistor on a pinball machine. I installed one of these transistors and it failed immediately when the coil was activated. Not worth my time and effort to try and replace with a second transistor from this packet, I just ordered transistors from a reputable supplier instead (and they are working fine). It could have just been unlucky that I selected one bad transistor from the batch but I think it is more likely that these are just not up to specification.
