Although this IR technology will probably go away, it's still used quite a bit and it may be a long time before cheap devices move to something that is not light based.These seem to work well.Note: The transmitters will probably require some sort of driver because they need lots of power compared to regular LEDs. e.g Arduino or similar.

I'm a solid electronic engineer. These arrived with absolutely no documentation and did not work for me in standard TSOP38238 test circuits.
