If you are a part time gardener like me and don't always have what you need on hand and time to run down to the expensive local nursery or department store this is a great purchase. The Vermiculite is in a bag inside a box. The box is labelled to show where to open it and the bag opening is right there so you can pour out the desired amount and then close back up for later use. Cleverly packaged and a good price and can get it within one or two days. The package can be closed up for storage instead of having open bags of garden stuff lying around. Glad I found this.

These chunks are large! Exactly what I’ve been looking for. The texture is as expected and it’s the perfect addition to my chunky mix. My plants are loving it!

This stuff is actually chunky but not too big and seems pretty sturdy. I’ve tried the super chunky stuff and it crumbles to dust with minimal pressure. So, what’s the point in using it? I love perlite this size and it works great with my aroids! A little dusty, but that’s expected with almost all perlite, so wear a mask if you can.

I like that they're quite large but they seem more dense and solid not as light and fluffy so at first I didn't even think it was real perlite however it does seem to do the job

Nice big chunks of perlite. There was no dust and it came within a day. Haven't used it in any soil yet, but think my plants are gonna love it. Very pleased with this product.

the packaging was not good. it comes in a box that arrived damaged at two corners. Then unfortunately I opened the box where it was most damaged and happened to cut the BOTTOM of the box. There is no indication that there is a TOP and a BOTTOM. I then pulled the bag in the box thinking it would lift everything out of the box... but NOPE!! the bag came out by itself, leaving the vermiculite in the BOX. Apparently the top of the bag (which is now at the bottom of my box) was not tied, so the bag when pulled from its bottom came out by itself!As for the product. It works for me. the vermiculite granules are smaller than is advertised in the pics but I'm ok with it.

One issue I encountered was the inconsistency in granule size, with some pieces being significantly larger than others. This variability made it challenging to achieve a uniform distribution of vermiculite throughout my soil mix, leading to uneven moisture retention in certain areas of my garden beds.Furthermore, while the vermiculite granules did improve soil structure and moisture retention to some extent, I didn't notice a significant difference in plant growth or health compared to using other soil additives. This lack of noticeable impact on plant performance was disappointing, especially considering the investment of time and resources in incorporating the vermiculite into my gardening routine.
